Senior Services Transportation

The Senior and Human Services bus is accessible to East Greenwich residents ages 55 and over and residents with disabilities.  The bus lift will accommodate persons using wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, braces, etc. or who otherwise have difficulty using steps. 

Fees
$2 per trip or $10 for a monthly unlimited use pass.

Reservations
To make a reservation for the senior bus, please call 401-886-8669, ext 3. Reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance.

Emergency Information
All passengers of the Senior bus are required to complete an application form which is kept on file in case of emergency. Forms can be obtained by contacting Roberta Dowding at 401-886-8669, ext 3.

Retail Shopping/Trips

Transportation for retail shopping is available on Fridays at 1:15pm 


Shopping Locations
Shopping locations vary each week. Stores include The Christmas Tree Shop, Target, Job Lot and Walmart.

Banks & Pharmacies
Transportation is provided to banks and pharmacies in East Greenwich.

Doctor & Dentist Appointments
Transportation to East Greenwich doctor and dentist appointments is available on Mondays and Tuesdays. The bus begins picking up passengers at 8:45 a.m.

Grocery Shopping
Transportation for grocery shopping is offered on Wednesday mornings to Stop and Shop at 8:45 a.m. and to Dave’s Market/Aldi’s/Market Basket on Thursdays at 1:15 p.m. Shoppers are allowed approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to shop. There is a maximum of 6 reusable shopping bags.
