The Tax Assessor's office is a division of the Finance Department and is responsible for the valuation of all real and personal property in town. The office also is responsible for the recording and maintenance of all personal exemptions available to taxpayers.
The current tax bills are for the 2023 tax year for assessments as of 12/31/2022 and have been mailed as of August 1st.
The Town of East Greenwich is currently preparing for the 2023 Full Revaluation. These new assessed values will be used for the 2024 tax rolls. Please view the current revaluation letter and the following subpage to learn more about the revaluation process.
Current Tax Rates (2023)
All tax rates are expressed as dollars per $1,000 of assessed value.
*Tangible accounts with assets totaling less than or equal to 35,000 will not receive a 2023 tax bill but are still required to file annually to declare asset values.
