Town Council Approves 2019-2021 Fire Contract


By a unanimous vote the East Greenwich Town Council approved a three year agreement with the East Greenwich Firefighters Association, Local 3328. The Firefighters Association voted to approve the contract earlier this month. The provisions of the contract were reviewed publicly by Town Solicitor Michael Ursillo, Acting Town Manger Joseph Duarte and Town Financial Consultant Michael D’Amico at a special meeting of the Council on Monday, April 29, 2019. Boston Post Cane

Boston Post Cane Honor


The Town of East Greenwich is seeking its oldest resident for the Boston Post Cane Honor. To be eligible, the holder of the cane must be 90 years old and must reside in the Town of East Greenwich for a minimum of 20 years. The resident must reside at a fixed, permanent, and principal home in the town and/or at a nursing home/assisted living facility. Nominations are being accepted by the Town Clerk’s office through April 30th.

Slate Roof Project Town Hall

Town Hall Slate Roof Replacement


With support by a State Preservation Grant administered by Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission (RIHPHC), the Town of East Greenwich is finally set to start the slate roof replacement project at 125 Main Street, being the c.1804 Old Kent County Courthouse in the coming weeks!!
